Dawn Corl
You must hear harpsichordist Dawn Corl of Clave-de-Sol. I asked her to play as we photographed. First off, her harpsichord is no ordinary harpichord. Her husband figured out how to make it. Unreal - really! Somehow I don't think it was a weekend project. And then the way Dawn plays it - the entire house simply rises. I requested Bach. Truly Heaven!
Jack and Ryan
Just before it rained (and during) I got to meet and photograph these two brothers.
Handsome, fun, and patient despite our dancing around and in the rain.

Day After Thanksgiving
Family Gatherings are fun to document - we get the group shot but then break down all the individual families and then both portraits and candids of the kids. This was a lovely group at their beautiful estate in Seattle.

Thanksgiving
On Thanksgiving afternoon, headed out to Snohomish to photograph this large family gathering. Warm, lovely people and estate. Drove home eating a large sack full of spicy pecans!

The Caporasos
Got to reconnect with some old friends when I was back East. The last time I photographed the 'boys', they were well under 10 years old and I had not seen them since. Great to re-meet them, now men - 24 and 25, and fall back into the easy comfort and familiarity with their parents.

Kayla and Emma, Virginia
October IS the time to go to DC. Got to photograph sisters, Kayla and Emma, amidst autumn's glory. I photographed their mother here in Seattle in September. We created some images for her professional use - she is an amazingly talented professional violinist. Both of her daughters are not far behind - at all. Emma, the youngest, at 10 is already well past the Suzuki method's book that I was trying to master in 10th grade. And I wasn't all that bad, but apparently, I wasn't all that good either. Anyway, I was quite impressed!

Helga
A good high school friend initiated my DC trip by hiring me to come photograph her beloved 97 year old aunt.
This lady's spirit is not wearied by her earthbound years - at all!
Neither is her mind. One very intelligent lady.
If she doesn't speak my tagline, Beautifully Real, no one does.

Mother-Daughter
Last month I headed out to Woodinville to capture some images of Alyssa at the house where she grew up - before they send it off to the new owner. Here she is, then with her mom, then one of her pups.

Shea
Upon downloading, spotted this image of lovely Shea. Couldn't resist getting her up on the blog. Truly a baby doll!

Eidan
I first photographed Eidan last year, a newborn. Now one year old he is on the go. I managed to capture his eyes in focus when he gave me a quick (very quick) on camera glance, but only by dropping my aperture to 4.5 from my standard beloved 1.4. Still got some bokeh in the background, afforded by an even yet fairly open aperture. He did give me lots of time to get it right - not the norm for one year olds. :)
